What Is Conditional Logic for Properties?

You can establish conditional logic for properties, which activates when users assign specific values during the creation of records or when users manually adjust property values for records that already exist.

Example of Conditional Logic:

If a users specifies texting as their preferred way of communication, the logic will require the user to enter a mobile phone number that will be kept on that user's record.

Adding Conditional Logic in HubSpot:

1. From your HubSpot home page, click on the settings icon in the upper right-hand corner.
2. Find 'Properties' in the left-hand side menu under 'Data Management'.
3. Select 'Conditional property logic' once in the 'Properties' menu. Click the orange 'Create Logic' button.
4. Continue to fill out the property logic form on the left-hand side. You can preview the logic on the right-side of the screen.
5. Once you are satisfied with your edits, click 'Save logic' in the in upper-right-hand corner and your logic is ready to be used!
